The way this generator creates vaporwave letters is by using the unicode standard which contains "full-width" characters which are wider than usual, or rather, have larger spaces in between the letters. ![]() ![]() Here's a comparison of full-width and half-width characters: Have a read of this Wikipedia article for more. The full-width characters used in vaporwave text have their origins in Asian computer systems where the traditional Asian symbols would generally be considered "full-width" characters, but the latin script characters could be fit into half-width blocks because of their relatively smaller size. This is a simple vaporwave text generator which allows you to input normal text and it will output a vaporwave font style (It's still text, but it looks like a different font, and is often call the aesthetic font). ![]()
